Bubba’s longest weapon, the Ping G30 driver, is a forgiving, long-hitting beast, at least that’s the promise. We put it through its paces out on the golf course.
Player name: Chris | Occupation: Registered Nurse | Age: 34 | Handicap: 10 | Current Driver: Callaway Optiforce 440
Looks: “It actually looks pretty good because of the non-glossy finish. The turbulators may be something to get used to.”
Feel: “Just like any driver that is 460cc, it feels hollow, though at the same time plays good.”
Play: “I was hitting the ball well even though it didn’t feel the best.”
Forgiveness: “It’s forgiving so I can’t complain about all the other things that I just mentioned. A good driver, actually goes pretty far and pretty straight.”

“Pretty far and pretty straight.” Chris
Player name: Don | Occupation: Graphic Designer | Age: 60 | Handicap: 28 | Current Driver: Ping G25
Looks: “Good looking club. Super-matte finish – nothing distracting on the top.”
Feel: “Feels quite light when you’re taking a few waggles with it.”
Play: “Played well. Very light, but I found that it sounded a bit “tinny” off the face compared to, say, the G25.”
Forgiveness: “Because of the depth of the face it’s a pretty forgiving club.”
“Played well, very light.” Don
