When Taylormade’s Speedblades were announced at the end of last year I thought to myself “Not another iron that hits even further!” and added them to my ‘7-iron bent to a 6-iron’ list.
However, I kept coming back to these clubs drawn by the ‘Speed Pocket’ technology that is similarly used in Adams hybrid range. The below videos explain the Speed Pocket technology well. I have since tried these clubs and was very impressed. They have great feel, and distance is accurate for my swing. They’re surprisingly forgiving with a low CG getting the ball up quickly. I’m not a massive fan of the flashy graphics on the back but I think I can overlook that detail in exchange for unparalleled performance.
Next step is to get these babies on the course.
